Introducing Marlie Wilson: Good Food Purchasing Project Manager

Meet Marlie Wilson, CFPAC’s first Good Food Purchasing Project Manager.

We are thrilled to announced our latest addition to the CFPAC Team!

Marlie Wilson, CFPAC’s Good Food Purchasing Project Manager, has spent the past decade working to foster more fair, healthy, and sustainable food systems. Prior to joining CFPAC, she served as the Illinois Farm to School Network Coordinator with Seven Generations Ahead, where she connected local food to school cafeterias and fostered more food and garden-based education across the state. She has previously worked on farm to school projects and local food systems development with the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection, FoodCorps Iowa, and The Food Project in Boston, Massachusetts. She received her BA from New York University and MS in Agroecology and Urban & Regional Planning from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Marlie will be presenting the session, “The Cafeteria/Classroom Connection,” at the 14th Annual Chicago Food Policy Summit with Harold Chapman (Chicago Public Schools) and Selma Sims (Gardeneers) at the 11:30 AM on February 15.
