What are Food Fun(d)ing Fridays?
Based on the Sunday Soup model, Food Fun(d)ing Fridays is a community event which gathers the public to learn about and support food-related projects in Chicago, in particular those led by communities of color. In exchange for a small donation and/or the ticket price, Food Fun(d)ing Fridays guests will enjoy healthy food and drinks, while listening to presentations by selected farmers and food vendor organizations. After the presentations, Food Fun(d)ing Friday guests vote on projects to fund. At the end of the event, the contest participant with the most votes gets the highest value prize.
