Purpose Statement: This directory is an interactive spreadsheet that is meant to facilitate partnerships and connections between members of our COVID-19 Rapid Response network.

Community Agreements: To have access to this directory, we require reciprocal participation. This means to view the directory, you must be included in it. This measure is to protect people’s information and ensure all contact that occurs through this directory is from trusted allies pursuing benevolent partnerships. Please do not share this link with people outside of this network. If you want to refer new folks to the Chicago Food Justice Rhizome Network, have them fill out this form to get plugged into the google group.

how to navigate this directory

How to filter: Click on the “Filter” button below. A small window will pop up enabling you to filter the spreadsheet by various identifiers. Clicking on “Name” will show a dropdown list where you can select to filter by name, email, organizational affiliation, roles, etc. If you click on “contains” you’ll see you also have options on what kind of filter you put on the spreadsheet.

Example 1: Let’s say you came to the directory to find a person who currently works in policy. You would click on the “Filter” button below. In the small pop up window, select “Role(s)” “has any of” and click on the “select an option” dropdown and select policy. Once you click on the “policy” tag, the spreadsheet will automatically filter all entries.

Example 2: Let’s say you came to the directory to find a person who is an expert in grant writing. You would click on the “Filter” button below. In the small pop up window, select “Skills + Expertise” “has any of” and click on the “select an option” dropdown and select grant writing. Once you click on the “grant writing” tag, the spreadsheet will automatically filter all entries.

How to group: Click on the “Group” button below. A small window will pop up enabling you to group similar members by various categories. Clicking on “Pick a field to group by” will bring up a dropdown list where you can select to group members by name, email, organizational affiliation, roles, etc.

Example: Let’s say you came to the directory to find all of the people who work for CFPAC. You would click on the “Group” button below, click on “Pick a field to group by,” then select organizational affiliation. This will organize the spreadsheet alphabetically by organizational affiliation. Scroll down to “C” to see all staff who work for CFPAC.

How to sort: Click on the “Sort” button below. A small window will pop up enabling you to organize the spreadsheet from A—>Z. Clicking on “Pick a field to sort by” will bring up a dropdown list where you can select to group members by name, email, organizational affiliation, roles, etc.
